Last week on my way from office UITP India I took a BluSmart cab. I was driven by #woman #cabdriver. It was exciting !! As a #categorymanager Ola, I created managed #ola #pink- a category driven and ridden by women. Unfortunately it didnt take off well due to paucity of women commercial drivers. Couldnt hold my excitement to ask a few questions!! On my question of how does she and her fellow woman cab drivers feel about working at BluSmart came the answer of series of things that can be made better (unverified) - There are no female #toilets in their hubs and they have to use men's toilets - There are no #changing rooms at the hubs and they expected to wear uniforms from home which is difficult as they havent declared this to neighbours that they work as drivers - The cars they get are #poor quality e.g. this car doesnt have a rear view mirror - Women drivers get only 1/3rd of the rides and therefore earn only #third of their male counterparts. Most of them are sole bread earners of the family and therefore have many responsibilities. - They feel uncomfortable when male riders drink #alcohol in their cars and Blusmart provides no resolution -Their personal numbers are sometimes shared with riders and they get unwanted calls at wee hours A shoutout to the #cofounders Anmol Jaggi Punit K Goyal for doing a great job of #employing #women as cab driver and supporting many homes . Some small steps of change can make it easier for the #woman #cabdrivers

Why do I still rock my Napster.com hat years after I left the company? As a passionate marketer, I've always believed in the profound impact a strong brand can have on both customers and employees.
