Thursday, February 1, 2024 More beautiful There’s some neglected little corner of your life that’s gotten kind of dingy. Maybe today you could make it beautiful. Imagine the sense of purpose you’ll experience in the process. Think of the satisfaction you’ll carry with you long afterwards. At any time, in some way, you are able to make a tangible improvement in your world. That’s something you can prove again and again to yourself, and to others, with a modicum of focused effort. Doing so will activate creativity, boost confidence, inspire and energize you. There’s something about participating in beauty that resonates deeply, and positively. Consider what could benefit from your care, your attention to detail, your choice to do what’s good and right just because you can. Notice how nice the enthusiasm feels when you think along those lines. Transform that enthusiasm into action, and make some particular part of your life more beautiful. Can you believe I heard these lines in a random Insta reel and it changed my life completely! The lines are- "Don't save things for some special occasions. Life itself is an occasion." Powerful right? I felt the same way when I heard it for the first time. I mean... just think about it. How many favorite things do we own but never use them? What about that favorite cloth of yours? And, those scented candles? That special bedsheet? Oh, and I almost forgot about those cutleries, preserved in a box... But someday... - You will outgrow your clothes. - The candles will lose their scent. - The bedsheet won't be special anymore. - When the guests arrive, it will always be harder to reach that box and unpack the cutleries. (Mom knows better) ____________________ We are so used to preserving things for a special occasion that we end up putting ourselves in a box. And... when the time comes, it's always harder to get out. 2023 is coming to an end. And, as we are wrapping up the year with the lessons learned and things done... I think...
