Hey Ladies,
Just wanted to share some tips and inspiration ✨if you have ever been rejected from a job before.
It's common for women of color to give up or think it's never going to happen for them when they receive a decline notice, especially for a six-figure role💵
I've been there before and felt the same way🙋🏾♀️
A six-figure role is possible for you even if you've been rejected in the past.
Don't take rejection personally and don't let it impact how you show up in your career and job search🙅🏽♀️
For example, when my client Amanda was rejected, she didn't give up or let it stop her.
➡️ By working through this 4-step Rejection Recovery method and building her personal brand she was able to land her dream role.
Amanda was able to get that exact same job (a six-figure role 👩🏾💻) at the exact same company that she was declined for 3 months prior 💥
Here are the 4 steps I taught her on How to Recover from Rejection:
1️⃣ Acknowledge the Rejection- Acknowledge the emotion that comes with it but don’t dwell or make it mean anything about you - it’s just an email.
2️⃣ It’s Not You, It’s Them- Know that there could have been 100 other reasons that you were declined other than your qualifications (like budget, filled internally, the position was put on hold, the company could be doing a hiring freeze).
3️⃣ Know What You Control- You control your career. You control your salary. You control which jobs you apply to and accept.
4️⃣ Reframe Your Mindset - List 5 reasons why this could have been the best thing for you and how this could leave space for your ideal role.
A six-figure job you love is possible for you, just don’t give up, and don’t let rejection stop you 👸🏾
