I'm very passionate about being there for my children, and I'm also passionate about gaining a sense of fulfillment and pride through work, that's aligned with my personal values. As well as Ichthyosis Awareness month (see last post), it is also Mental Health Awareness month. For anyone who currently juggles a number of responsibilities and ambitions, you'll know that balance is key and time management is everything. A strategy that continues to serve me when my balance seems a little off or I feel off-track is to: 1. Take a couple of hours to STOP - and at the time that you feel you haven't got the time, that's when you need to stop the most! 2. Evaluate what's important to you and why 3. List your priorities in order 4.Take a bird's eye view of how they could all fit together and what you're willing to drop, change or delay 5. What mini-steps would be of most use both now, and later Who says we can't have it all? This exercise is definitely worth the investment of time and you'll be surprised how many options become available when you take the time to explore and gain balance.
May is the time we bring awareness to Mental health. Increasing the importance of your mental health plays a vital role in your day to day life. Asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. #MentalHealthAwareness
