We have been trained since childhood that snacks are a regular part of the day. However, this usually leads to unconscious eating or “snack-ccidents” which can easily add 200-500 calories/day. These extra calories can impair or completely stall the fat loss process. Think of how many Bites, Licks and Tastes (BLTs) you may be consuming throughout the day? When you make the family dinner, do you snack throughout because you’re hungry? Do you eat the left-overs off your child’s plate? Do you lick spoons and knives to not let anything go to waste? Do you have ‘just a little’ bit of things throughout the day? Rather than snacking and taking bites, licks and tastes - eat meals. Yes, meals. It’s completely unnecessary to eat between meals when they are planned properly to be nutritious and satisfying. #decodingfatloss #snacking #weightlosstips #weightlossgoals #weightlossmotivation #angrynutrition

🍏🥦Did you know that clean eating can lead to improved energy levels? Clean eating doesn't have to be that complicated. Just start one meal at a time. Try it for just today. Start with breakfast. What swap can you make? I have been having smoothie bowls for breakfast and have noticed the difference. I don't have the time to sit and eat it. So, I have been zapping in my bullet, grabbing my granola in a to-go cup and enjoying in my office space. I don't want to sacrifice my health and well being if I can be more mindful. Make smarter food swaps. Instead of fried, go for grilled. Just that swap is a win. Aim for eating the rainbow. Swap processed snacks for fruits and veggies and get ready to feel the difference! 💪🌿 Lean towards making the veggies the main attraction and the protein or carb the side dish. Eating fresh, whole foods can help stabilize blood sugar levels, making you feel more energized throughout the day. Comment here. Happy Monday! I'm beginning my next weight loss step, which requires some meal preparation. Meal prep is essential for weight loss as a parent because it helps control portion sizes, ensures healthier food choices, and saves time during busy weeks. **Tip 1️⃣:** Cook everything on a sheet tray for easy cleanup and balanced meals. Simply arrange vegetables, proteins, and seasonings on a tray, bake, and divide into portions. **Tip 2️⃣:** Use pre-cut vegetables and lean proteins to save time. This reduces prep time and encourages healthier eating by making nutritious ingredients readily available. Frozen veggies are perfectly fine. **Tip 3️⃣:** Don't make your food choice overly complicated. Stick to simple recipes to avoid analysis paralysis. 3 weeks into a diet and you'll be happy your recipes are simple. If you're looking for some help to get a plan together, reach out at Critical Hit Training on Facebook and Instagram or a DM and we can set up a consultation! If anyone is also looking to make a impactful change in their health and life, I'm looking for clients to do a 6 week transformation! Before and after pictures and a review are a must. I do all the heavy lifting with the program, measurement tracking and diet help! #abbotsfordbc #abbotsford #fitmindfitfamily

Transforming lives through the right nutrition and exercise for you l Qualified Nutritionist l Qualified Personal Trainer l Juicer l
Let me ask you a question! Are you a food prep person? Because it’s an absolute fact and a must that we learn to food prep if we are to keep our health and wellness on track, or even for the first time take your health into your own hands. Unfortunately we are guided to eat on the go these days, and food manufacturers have us right where they want us!! Fast food outlets on ever corner, cookie shops, sandwich bars - ok, this is great once in a while - however, it’s how most of us live our day, to day lives - we are too busy, don’t have the time! Believe me it’s easy when you know how 🙏 Tips: Have a diary - add your food prep as a priority! There will be some slots if you look for them - maybe change up a coffee morning for food prep - it’s so worth it! On those busy days - you will have healthy standby meals to add to your veggies & salads 🙏 If you are a juicer - batch juice once a week & freeze or purchase if funds allow. Soups, stews, casseroles, chili, bolognese sauce & other sauces - batch make & freeze Health is absolutely our greatest health - when we run around burning the candle at both ends - eating unproductive, processed foods, high in refined fats & sugars more than we don’t - over time you will slow down, become fatigued, have sleep issues, skin problems, new aches & pains - the candle can only burn for so long! Fueling our bodies with high water content foods is paramount to our continued health & wellness 🙏 If you would like help on your journey to renewed health - please drop mea message - let’s have that FREE 20/30 minute no obligation discovery call - let’s get acquainted - sometimes we all need a little support 🙏 #nutritionspecialist #foodprep #timemanagement #freediscoverycall #letsgetaquainted #personaltrainer #juicetherapist

Get ready for healthy summer eating! 🌞🥗 Summer brings picnics, BBQs, and poolside fun, but these events don't have to derail your healthy eating. Here are some tips to stay on track: 1. Locally Grown Produce: Make fruit kabobs and veggie dishes for parties. They're nutritious, colorful, and always a hit. 2. Avoid Mindless Eating: At a party, it is easy to get caught up in the event and not pay attention to what or how much we eat. Try to avoid standing near the food to limit grazing. Take what you want and walk away. 3. Hydrate: Sip on calorie-free beverages all day. Spice up water with lemon, cucumber, or berries. 4. BBQs: Grill meats and veggies with little to no oil. Use olive or avocado oil spray for seasoning. 5. Watch the Alcohol: Limit drinking by alternating with non-alcoholic beverages. Stay hydrated. 6. Fun Over Food: Plan games and activities to keep everyone active and entertained.
