💪 Another challenging day managing beds—tougher than yesterday—but once again, we all came together to keep it safe for our patients. 💙 While Wes Streeting may say the NHS is “broken and beaten,” I believe he’s wrong. We’re neither broken nor beaten. We show up every day, giving 150% of everything we have. 🔥 As a great colleague of mine said, we’re persistent and tenacious, with a dash of good humour to get us through the tough times. Yes, the government needs to address the big issues: workforce shortages, encouraging skill development, and inspiring more people to join the NHS. 🏥 But until then, as Lord Darzi put it, we’ll “keep the show on the road.” The NHS isn’t backing down.
