When clients commission me to make a film, I’m often asked to provide a variety of formats for social media; wide, square, portrait and with or without captions. I would also suggest to make a number of shorter segments form the film, which is a cost effective way to get mote content to post. How to create a production video on a tight budget? No excuses. Borrow a camera from a friend, rent an Airbnb for the shoot, and enlist your co-founder and friends as actors. It's that straightforward – you don't have to spend a dime when you're just starting out. We filmed this in Paris in 2019, featuring our co-founder and best friend, Karim ElHassan, along with his friend as actors. No paid actors, we wrote the script, planned the setting, and filmed it all ourselves. This video incurred zero costs, only requiring time and creativity, yet it generated $250,000 in pre-order sales. You can achieve it; everything becomes possible when you commit to it wholeheartedly. Old video but gold, P.S. our prototype was so amateur 😊.

Sometimes videographers and filmmakers can make you feel a bit stupid. Throwing jargon and phrases at you, and then getting frustrated when you don't know the answer. A couple of things I've heard our clients experience in the past: - A creative director refusing to listen on a shoot and getting into an argument with them 🤦♂️ - Using a lot of acronyms that made the client feel excluded from what was going on 😳 - Filmmakers thinking they were on a Hollywood production 🎬 It's not intentional (I hope). Our focus has always been on simplifying our approach as I know you only really care about the end result. Forget needing to understand every little detail of video production. We really try to guide our clients through the process, making it a fun and easy experience. Essentially becoming an extension of your team you can just 'handball' things to 🏈 You could almost say we "Lift" you up 😉

Good message. Good intention. But, according to me, it wasn’t necessary to call out the infamous word. Imagine your child watching this ad and asking you, ‘Papa, what does happy ending mean?’ Speechless…literally, isn’t it? I wonder if this would have a happy ending with the audience.
