In my experience customer service agents rarely get thanks or appreciated by the customer due to the stress they are dealing with when seeking support. Moreover, when it's so difficult a job especially with the lack of unlimited options some customer service agents seem to get desensitized to humanity and lack the extra personal advantage that should and would not be replaced by AI who will let's face it probably do a better job at mimicking human emotion in customer service and trouble shooting than humans themselves... be kind to those who if even they are not kind to you at first and try to continue the connection between humans when it is clear that a disconnect is present.
