Out with the old, and in with the new... career as a whole! A few weeks ago, I made the decision to step away from recruitment and start my transition into the real estate industry! While I am overjoyed to be starting this new journey, as many of you know #realestate runs in my family, it still has been bittersweet. For the last 5+ years, I have worked in the recruitment space, alongside clients and candidates in those pivotal steps of their careers, and helping them secure their dream roles or teams! I figured now was as good of time as any to take one out of my own playbook. I will greatly miss working with my connections I've made along the way (I know we will keep up, and I appreciate the well wishes, and support I've received thus far!). To my team over at Piper Maddox, I miss seeing you all day-to-day, but I know the office is in great hands, with some exciting transitions taking place! Wanted to give a little appreciation post, as I am celebrating my 3 years with Piper Maddox today! Last night, Team Key Accounts - ATX (also coined “Team Wombat” in our office, hence the fun shirts) took to have some fun at the one and only, Dave & Buster’s! I’m a firm believer in the work hard, play hard mentality, and my team has done nothing short but challenge themselves individually and collectively over H1, and continuing to do so in H2; I’m so proud to work alongside Vanessa Palazzi Kelsie Embry Derrick White each day (even if they absolutely placed top 3 in every single game, MINUS Hungry Hippo which I miraculously won)! I’ve learned so much over the last 3 years being in the renewable space, and I’m grateful for each client and candidate interaction I’ve had. Too good to not share! Last week, our LHi Charity Committee Alessandra Tudela, Kelsie Embry, myself, Vanessa Palazzi, and amazing Race Host Alex Smith held our 1st Annual Derby Day Event for Dell Children's. We chose to support Dell Children's Hospital this year, as the work they do to support children and their families does not go unnoticed. Roughly 70% of Dell Children’s patients are under-insured or uninsured, and they could not provide the same level of world class care to every child without philanthropic support. If you’ve been here in Austin for any length of time, you probably know or know of someone who has been impacted by them in some way. That said, this is the where behind the why: 👶 $5 could provide ten micro preemie diapers for the tiniest babies in the NICU. 🎵 $10 could provide an instrument for music therapy. 🤱 $25 could provide a breast pump for a nursing mom. 👩⚕️ $50 could provide a neonatal stethoscope designed for use on the smallest patients. 🛴 $100 could provide a wagon for a child to use instead of a wheelchair. 😎 $500 could provide specialized protective eye covers for babies with jaundice undergoing phototherapy. 👂 $1,000 could provide a hearing aid start up kit for kids with hearing loss. ❤️ $5,000 could provide a heart monitor that could save a life.
