🤔 How to build brand love in a sea of sameness? The Interzoo trade fair in Nuremberg was certainly a good indicator of this. For exhibitors and visitors, for trade and industry, for private labels and brands. Of course, the products and brands are on display every day, pack after pack, in the stores and on the digital shelf. But you can only get such a comprehensive and compact overview as at the trade fair. As a neutral observer of the industry, I spent two very intensive days at the trade fair and was impressed by the dimensions, but also overwhelmed and lost by the variety of products on offer. Only a few brands stood out. Only a few caught my attention and made me stop. Very rarely did I grab one. Hardly any have stayed in my memory. Attention is no guarantee of conversion and sales. But it is a starter. ➡ What is the purpose of your endeavours? ➡What does your story sound like? ➡What makes your product special? ➡How do your products generate attention and relevance? 🚀 Exciting News from OC Metropole Zličín! 🚀 Today, we launched a groundbreaking initiative at OC Metropole Zličín - the TVC (Tork Vision Cleaning) test. We've chosen the busiest public restrooms in the mall, with an average daily footfall of 2,000 people. In collaboration with Essity, we've installed "smart" dispensers for both ladies and gents. These dispensers are interconnected with a special system capable of monitoring the usage of consumables and signaling when replenishment is needed. Simultaneously, visitor traffic is tracked in real-time on both toilets. Following this installation, a comprehensive presentation was conducted by Essity representatives, Mr. Zelený and Mr. Matěj Urbanec explaining the entire system. When was the last time you sat down with your board, senior teams or partners to genuinely reflect on your collective journey? Not just to celebrate the wins or mourn the losses, but to truly understand what went right and what slipped through the cracks.... In business, there are times when we experience a stream of success. A period where it feels like everything is falling into place. And inevitably, there are moments when the same strategies and efforts don't yield the same results. It's easy in those moments to look in the mirror and think, "We're just not working hard enough." But is it always about working harder? Or is it sometimes about pausing, recalibrating and "sharpening our axe"? There's an old story about two woodcutters. One consistently takes short breaks, while the other keeps pushing through, believing his relentless effort would make him the victor. By day's end, the one who took breaks had chopped down more trees. Why? Because he was using his breaks to sharpen his axe. Recently i have had similar meetings with my business partners across each business. We invested time in strategising and aligning our goals and it has been extremely valuable. The essence isn't about ceasing hard work, but recognising that sometimes the best way forward is to stop, reflect, and hone our skills and strategies.
