Form and substance. I can assure you that this is an experience not to be missed. I am convinced it has everything: form, substance, quality, creativity, design, and communication. Not to mention the packaging, of course. I am fortunate that Marchesi Pasticceria has a long history here in Milan, but it should be emphasized that it goes beyond the concept of a, albeit excellent, pastry shop; it's a comprehensive experience. The combination of all these features makes it an unmissable destination when you are in the city. The creation of products for special occasions is also a strong point of the company; sometimes, one buys almost more for the symbolic value of the product rather than the product itself to consume. #piccolo_latte# Piccolo means small in Italian, and a piccolo latte is a drink served in 3 to 4 ounces/ 85 to 114 ml glasses. It is one part ristretto to two parts milk with a soft foam layer on top. There are 40 to 60 ml of milk to one 20 to 30 ml shot of espresso. The espresso has steamed, stretched milk that blends well with the coffee. Method to make nice#PICCOLO LATTE# To make a piccolo, extract a shot of espresso, between 20–30 ml. Steam your milk to around 60°C/140°F, allowing enough air into it to create some microfoam, but ensuring it’s stretched and silky. Pour between 40–60 ml of milk onto the espresso at a slight angle with a bit of height, allowing the milk to mix nicely with the espresso.
