An incredible evening at the South Asian Bar Association’s Annual Gala, where diversity and inclusion were at the forefront of the conversations. Proud that my firm, David P. Shapiro Criminal Defense Attorneys sponsored this incredible event, and even more proud to be part of a community that champions voices from all backgrounds. As an Afghan criminal defense attorney, SABA’s Afghan Outreach Project holds special significance for me. This initiative provides vital support to Afghan judges and lawyers who fled the Taliban, helping them build new lives and careers in San Diego. It was especially meaningful to meet and catch up with some of the afghans who have benefited from the program, hearing about their progress and the incredible strides they’ve made. #diversityinlaw
