On Monday, July 29, 2024, in the case of “Terry J. Spillards v. WKS Restaurant Corp.,” a Riverside County superior court jury rendered its verdict:
THE LAW FIRM OF FRIEDMAN + BARTOUMIAN PROVIDES THE BEST DEFENSE OF GENERAL LIABILITY AND WORKERS’ COMPENSATION CLAIMS!
Faced with an exorbitant and unjustified settlement demand of $2.5 million, F+B’s civil litigation team allowed a finding of only $353k to the plaintiff! Given that plaintiff’s claims arose from an admitted liability, rear end, motor vehicle accident with medical expenses and lost earnings far more than that amount, the verdict represents a decisive victory for the defense, and a terrible result for the plaintiff, his lien based medical providers, and the contingency fee law firm who represented him.
