99% of ISO 27001 guides focus on how to get it. But keeping it is as tough as getting it. Here's my overall understanding of what needs to be done once the organization is certified. 1. Review documentation regularly (policies, procedures, ISMS docs). 2. Track ISMS indicators (measurement requirement). 3. Keep analysing new risks. 4. Implement your N-1 action plans. 5. Keep up with new rgulations. 6. Update the Statement of Applicability. 7. Plan your audits. 8. Train your staff. 9. Close the N-1 action plans you had to. 10. Make sure your current year risk treatment plans are defined. 11. Get Ready for internal audit. 12. Fix any fixable gap. 13. Prepare for surveillance audit. 14. Go through a management review. 15. What an eventful year and we are not done. Three (3) successful CMMI reappraisals; seven (7) successful ISO surveillance audits including transitions to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. What's next?
