Breathing is a fundamental aspect of swimming, and mastering proper breathing techniques can significantly enhance your performance and comfort in the water. Here are some breathing exercises to help you as a swimmer: 1. Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your abdomen. Inhale deeply through your nose, allowing your abdomen to rise as you fill your lungs with air. Exhale slowly through your mouth, feeling your abdomen fall as you empty your lungs. Repeat for several breaths, focusing on deep, controlled breathing. 2. Stand at the edge of the pool with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms extended in front of you, holding onto the pool deck. Take a deep breath in, lifting your head slightly above the water to inhale. As you exhale, lower your head back into the water and blow bubbles through your nose or mouth. Practice rhythmic breathing, inhaling as your head comes out of the water and exhaling as it goes back in. This exercise helps you get comfortable breathing while swimming. 3. Take a breath every three strokes (bilateral breathing) or every two strokes (unilateral breathing), depending on your preference and skill level. Practice maintaining a steady breathing pattern and avoiding shallow or erratic breathing. Gradually increase the distance as you become more comfortable with the exercise. 4. Stand in shallow water with your face submerged and your hands resting on the pool bottom. Take a deep breath in and hold it as you submerge your face underwater. Exhale slowly and steadily through your nose or mouth, releasing air bubbles until your lungs are empty. Practice exhaling completely while underwater, focusing on controlling the release of air and maintaining relaxed breathing. ______________ P.S.: We are still on the "2024 Learn to Swim Challenge" You can join here: https://lnkd.in/d99t2fN7 Contact us or sign up for our Free Swim Clinics here: https://lnkd.in/dFNQASfm #breathingexercises #2024learntoswimchallenge #learntoswim #Tri720cheatcodes #overcomingswimanxiety #swimcoach #swimlessons #overcomingswimfear #cheatcodes

🤔 Did you know? An hour of kitesurfing is much more than just gliding across the water - it's a real tour de force for your body! 💪 In one hour of kitesurfing, you can burn up to 600 to 1000 calories, which is as much as an intense cardio or weight training session at the gym! Every turn, jump and manoeuvre requires a combination of strength, balance and coordination that calls on every muscle in your body. 🌊 But that's not all! Kitesurfing is also a great way to strengthen your heart and cardiovascular system. The constant strain on your arms and legs, combined with the concentration needed to navigate the water, boosts your heart rate and improves your endurance. 🧠 And speaking of concentration, did you know that kitesurfing is also a real exercise for your mind? You have to remain constantly attentive to weather conditions, wind changes and the other riders around you, which develops your ability to make quick decisions and react quickly. In short, an hour of kitesurfing is much more than just a sporting activity - it's a complete workout for body and mind! Get ready to feel the adrenaline and push your limits on the water. 🏄♂️💨 #kitesurf #kitesurfung #sportapp
