“I just finished a master’s degree in instructional design. I am looking to make that jump to a job in that field. “I’ve come to the Church’s Employment Center every so often over the years anytime I’ve been looking for jobs to help me get through school. “But this is actually in my career, so I’ve been wanting extra help with that job search. “I was excited to see that Sister Hall is here. She has helped me over the years with practicing for interviews, and I was excited to get her help. “She helped me figure out next steps that will help me. I am going to do a me-in-30 seconds and figure out a good flow for that. And then a portfolio and make sure that’s all up to speed. And then I can go into active searching. I’ll meet regularly with her as I look for jobs. So that’s what we established—just organization and where to go next. “It can be overwhelming, like where do I start? But it’s helpful to have someone to guide you through it. “I like coming here because this help is done by the Church. It has that spirit that I like. So this is definitely the first destination I go to whenever I am looking for a job. “It’s a great resource too. It’s great to be able to talk to people and network and people really listen to you. They have a little more time to meet with you personally and get to know you, and there’s a lot of care.
