Becoming a manager is not easy. Good managers don't just think about operations but how to earn revenue.🧠🕵️💰💰💰 There are 3 that I apply in the team and might be useful for friends, namely "BMB" 1. B is “Bring them in" 2. M is "Make them satisfied" 3. B i.e. "Bring them back" The number 1 way to attract guests to a restaurant is by creating promotions, content on social media such as TikTok, Instagram, then telemarketing, wa blast, inviting Instagram celebrities, and also sales calls. The number 2 way to create guest satisfaction is to implement superior SoS (Sequence of Service) to leave a good impression on guests as well as superior product standards ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The number 3 way to get guests to come back to our restaurant is by serving guests sincerely, greeting guests by saying their name and asking for their cellphone number so that we can communicate if there are promotions, we can share promotional information with guests. Chatter Lounge is the Gumaya Tower Hotel Cake Shop which is always busy in the city of Semarang with its superior products (Chocolate Cake) and service to guests. 🍰🥧✨

The hotel cafe were buzzing with activity, a typical start to a busy day. A guest was requesting their bill while another waited patiently outside, eager to begin their dining experience. Meanwhile, the reservation phone rang incessantly, adding to the already lively atmosphere. What must we do 1st ? 1. Acknowledge Guests Waiting Outside: First, acknowledge the guests waiting outside. This can be done quickly to show that their presence is recognized and that they will be attended to soon. A staff member or a quick message can help manage their expectations and keep them informed. 2. Answer the Booking Reservation Phone: If the phone is ringing for booking reservations, answer it promptly. It could be a potential guest wanting to make a reservation, and taking bookings is essential for future business. It also prevents the disturbance from the ringing phone and ensures that future days have confirmed reservations. 3. Process the Payment for the Table Asking for the Bill:Process the payment for the table asking for the bill next. These guests are ready to leave, and settling the bill will free up the table for the next arriving guests. It also ensures a positive experience for those leaving, which could lead to positive reviews and repeat business. 4. Manage Guest Seating:After addressing the initial queries and tasks, focus on seating the guests waiting outside. Ensure they are accommodated as swiftly as possible to keep the flow moving smoothly. By quickly acknowledging guests, efficiently handling the phone call, processing the payment, and then seating the waiting guests, you can manage the busy café effectively while providing good service to everyone involved. What sort of stupid hiring policy encourages a hotel in Malaysia to hire an expat for the position of Director of Food and Beverage? Someone please, try your very best to explain to me why we need an expat for this position? If it was an expat to be the GM or Executive Chef, it will definitely be debatable for certain luxury hotels and resorts in Malaysia, but for a Director of Food and Beverage? Really? We Malaysians are that pathetic in managing food and beverage?? And if you really wanted a fair skinned fellow to be your DFOB, i know of a few really good Eurasian DFOBs in Malaysia. Really niamah!!!

Im still remembered a lesson from my GM at my first job. when i was working at Grand Hyatt Jakarta 2012 as Guest Relation Officer, My main job is doing check in process in the room. He never called me "MY STAFF" he always mentioned me as his COLLEAGUE when he introduce me to his guest. he will said "she is my colleague from guest relation who will be assisting you for check in process in your room". From him i learn to be proffesional to call other colleague, How higher your position is, keep respect your colleague at work. which word is better in your opinion, in between you said MY STAFF or MY COLLEAGUE?
