It was so lovely to see the room transform to a movie theatre as the lights went off and the screens lit up with a beautiful image of our Guest Speaker's book, 'Toni Slept'. She took the participants through every page as she told the story of a young girl who was deprived of sleep as a result of an unpleasant experience she had. Storytelling is such a powerful tool and the participants were deeply invested in the story as if Toni were a girl next door. 🙂 The comments that followed showed how much the participants listened, understood, and got the core of the book's message. - parents should be very present in their children's lives and pay attention to any changes in moods/behaviour - parents should, early enough, engage their children in education regarding sensitive body parts, right and wrong touches, etc - children need to understand boundaries and set very firm ones - children should not be overtrusting of people - children should not accept gifts from strangers, etc Thank you so much, Ma'am Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi (Merchant of Hope), and for bringing your very lovely daughter also. 📸 @oyerounkehfoto #projectlead #projectleadng #projectleadidgc #projectleadidgc2024 #internationaldayofthegirlchild
