The Investors in Wellbeing framework is a proactive approach to wellbeing, with the robust assessment that you'd expect from the Investors in People team. It’s estimated we spend a third of our life at work—even more if you run your own small business. So, it’s easy to understand why you don’t have time to think about your own wellbeing let alone that of your employees. #wellbeing #psychologicalsafety https://ow.ly/kO2g50TxObI

Wellbeing strategies are essential to protect your people and your business. Infact, the new WHS legislation has introduced legislation around workplace stress. Here's some reflection from my work so far in 2024: 1. Many organisations want to implement an effective wellbeing initiative but are behind on agreeing the strategy. 2. Some organisations have a strategy but the levels of the organisation are unsure how to implement. 3. THE BIGGEST RISK: the organisation doesn't have capacity to apply the changes. No-one has been allocated and given guidance to champion the initiative and drive the change. The need for a Chief Wellbeing Officer was a few years ago. Have you designed, implemented and measured your wellbeing strategy? If the answer is NO, are you aware of your risk??? I'm getting very busy in this space and happy to share ideas 💡 Imagine: strategy without implementation is like building a snowman in the sun. Great fun and makes you feel good but it won't last long in the wrong environment. ⛄️🌞💦

Where are the gaps in your organisational wellbeing? I’m regularly asked for my advice on what wellbeing services I recommend to support employees. Each time, my answer is the same "where are your gaps?". It should be straight forward from there, but the problem is businesses don’t always know. They introduce a myriad of services but the question is, are they filling a gaps, or just adding another layer of costly support? Recently, I started working with Govox to create an audit that helps identify the gaps in the 4 pillars of wellbeing. The results so far have been amazing so I wanted to share it with you. If you would like to know what your employees feel are the elements missing from your current solution, and you’d like a completely free report, which you can use with any provider, please let me know and I can provide a link. To find out more and a see the results from a recent wellbeing audit with one of our clients, please follow this link https://lnkd.in/eJRCU4rz

How employees productivity relates to thier wellbeing? It is essential to regularly measure employees' wellbeing because it allows companies to understand their workforce's needs, stressors, and areas requiring improvement. By assessing physical, mental, and emotional health, organizations can tailor their wellbeing strategies to enhance productivity, engagement, and job satisfaction. A well-implemented wellbeing strategy reduces burnout, improves retention, and fosters a healthier work environment. We recommend you participate in this wellbeing survey (accessible via the QR code provided here) to get valuable insights into how your organization can better support your health and wellbeing.

How are you doing today? No, how are you really doing? Wellbeing is seldom static. Some days, we may be flourishing and feel a general sense of joy and contentment with life. Other times, we may be struggling and feel overwhelmed and anxious. An essential aspect of maintaining our wellbeing involves awareness of these ebbs and flows. It means regularly checking in with ourselves and recognising when we need to rest, seek support, adopt an alternative mindset or make adjustments to our routine. For organisations, the same principle applies. Support for employee wellbeing needs to be proactive, ensuring that help isn’t only available when a crisis level is reached. In doing so, workplaces ensure they aren't just relying on reactive responses. Rather, they are building a culture where wellbeing is sustainable.

How do we get people to engage in our wellbeing programmes and events? This is a question I hear a lot and something we discussed multiple times at the Health and Wellbeing at Work Event we attended. One way to approach this is to use 'nudge theory' which is about "using small, strategically designed interventions to guide people towards making choices that are in their best interest". Here are 5 things to consider which just might help... 1. Lead by example 2. Create case studies 3. be subtle and empathetic 4. Get employees involved making decisions 5. Be creative with your signposting Read more below ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/dsEcge93
