✨ This evening’s session on ‘𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐢𝐬𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭’ by Prof. Sanjoy Mukherjee from Indian Institute of Management, Shillong was nothing short of inspiring. The session opened with a thought-provoking story, culminating in a powerful line: “𝘈𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘸𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦, 𝘵𝘳𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘏𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘉𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨.” This immediately resonated with the audience, earning a round of applause. 👏
Prof. Mukherjee captivated everyone with impactful insights drawn from Indian Sanskrit literature, known as the bedrock of some of the greatest philosophies in history. What truly stood out was his delivery—engaging, impactful, and entirely without the use of PowerPoint slides. It kept participants glued to their seats, craving more.
The essence of his teachings revolved around introspection, emphasizing that true balance lies within us. Prof. Mukherjee introduced four guiding principles to energize and navigate life's challenges:
🔸 Go within
🔸 Live within
🔸 Grow within
🔸 Look from within
He also discussed the two essential faculties that drive our actions:
🔹 F1 – Intellect, reason, logic
🔹 F2 – Emotions, feelings, impulses
Interestingly, the session highlighted a prevailing imbalance in our educational systems that overemphasize F1, while neglecting F2, despite both being critical for holistic growth. The session was filled with such thought-provoking insights, leaving everyone with much to reflect upon.
Before the session, the room buzzed with an energized debate initiated by Captain Vinay Singh (Navy Reserve List) : Should this course be repeated next year? The unanimous consensus was a 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒀𝒆𝒔! 🎉 This program is deemed a must-do for our community, offering a structure and content that are truly unparalleled.
The influence of MILVEST, Sambhav Kadam Foundation, and the innovative frameworks they bring to the table frequently arise in our discussions, given their significant and profound impact on large-scale upskilling.
