I totally agree, a leader should support and empower an individual to be the best version of themselves. Why would we want everyone to be the same, we need to value differences annd enable someone to unlock their full potential not be clones of each other

Guiding people to become the very best versions of themselves is the key that pays you back when proper valued people are within your circle.

Certainly we have all learned that fools believe that a title makes a leader. Some of us have had the misfortune of working for people who spend their time tearing others down and spend their energy creating a highly toxic environment which is unhealthy mentally, physically, and emotionally. Bad leaders couldn’t care less and their words and actions reflect that. Good leadership “inspires” while the latter is highly regressive and pushes people away. You would think this would be common sense, but…

Leadership isn’t just about lifting others. It’s also about making tough calls and holding people accountable. Sometimes, being a great leader means saying “no” and setting clear boundaries. Why? Because empowerment without accountability leads to chaos. ➡️ It’s not always about inspiration. ➡️ It’s about structure and discipline too. So here's my question for you: How do you balance empowering your team with holding them accountable?

Very true! Unfortunately, those who are insecure will never empower because they fear that it will diminish their value. Empowerment is partnering to equip. This is not only delegation of authority, but also conveyance of confidence and support that enables the recipient to discover solutions on their own.
