Is anyone else sick and tired of trying to get record keepers to do anything? Seriously I waste hours of every single day following up of corporate operations people looking for every possible reason I can’t paid for the work I’m doing. I ask for the right form. Get it signed. Sometimes “wet” so they feel really good about it. Send it in immediately. Wait. Wait. Wait. Ask if it’s done. Tell me some stupid excuse about the last holiday making things SO busy. Then they come back and tell me it was the wrong form. Or the wrong person signed. Or their system is changing. Or they are out for the next month. Then we start over. It’s bad. And this is the work when these people get paid every two weeks. Sometimes it can take 6-12 months of hard work before advisors get a check in the mail. (Yeah they still send checks like they did in the 80’s.) Imagine if record keepers paid their employees like advisors. Then shit would finally get done.
