𝗜𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗸? 🌑👁️ In today's automotive landscape, where new car sales are plateauing, aftersales excellence is no longer a luxury — it's a necessity. But many dealerships struggle with inefficiencies that drain time and harm their aftersales profitability. One of them used to be Auto 8-8, the largest privately-owned dealership in the Northwest of Norway. "It's easier to sell to a customer you've already sold to than it is to acquire a new one…” And not only is it easier, it’s also far more cost-effective. But knowing that isn’t enough. The question is: How do we actually act on it? Recently, I met with members of the senior leadership team at ag analytics a/s to discuss challenges in the automotive industry's aftersales department. Our conversation covered topics such as improving operational efficiency and rethinking traditional approaches to upselling. During my conversation with Axel Graeser, Commercial Manager for the UK and Ireland at ag analytics, he highlighted what businesses should be doing to maximise aftersales opportunities and how to prevent inefficiencies from getting in the way. Too often, teams are bogged down with manual admin (sifting through spreadsheets, chasing customer history, and piecing together insights from multiple different systems) Automation and having access to the right data changes that. It removes the guesswork, reduces manual effort, and means teams can act quickly and efficiently.
