Changing lives through education about the connections between time management, planning and your brain.
Managing technology can be a lot like managing the brain! The solution here: Rather than letting emotions get the best of you, walk away. Set a timer for 30 minutes, and come back when you feel more calm. Often, when you return, you'll find either the glitch has gone or your mind is more focused and ready to tackle the task with fresh eyes. Just my $0.02, as my dear friend Erin used to say! #passwordproblems.

Head of Customer Success @ Compt | Helping companies empower employees with benefits and rewards they’ll use and appreciate – whoever and wherever they are in life ❤️
People ask how I seem so on top of things. Spoiler alert: I’m really not! 😅 If I don’t write something down, it’s like it never existed, and I forget it immediately. So, I have two options when figuring out how to move forward when I have something that needs to get done... 1️⃣ 📝Write it down and get to it later – which means it might sit in my "to-do list" pile, growing cobwebs and taking up valuable brain space. 2️⃣ ⌛Use the 2-Minute Rule from David Allen's Getting Things Done: If it’ll take less than 2 minutes, I just do it NOW. You'd be surprised how many little tasks can get crossed off in seconds when you stop putting them off. Less procrastination, less clutter, and it feels so good to knock stuff out right away. ✅ Honestly, this little trick makes me look way more organized than I actually am. 😎 Try it out and thank me later! #2MinuteRule #ProductivityHacks #CustomerSuccessTips

Have you ever considered all the time you spend doing valuable thinking? As knowledge workers, brainstorms, research, analysis - they occupy the majority of our time. It's complex and taxing to take in information, make sense of it, and then have some sort of result, decision, or outcome. When you invest your 2 most precious and limited resources: time and attention, there's no reason to just throw away the results of that thinking at the end of the day or the end of the project. Keep the results of that thinking. Keep the notes, the brainstorms, the bullet points, the action steps. Keep them so the next time you're in a meeting like that one, you're trying to solve a similar problem, or you're in a similar situation, you can just revisit your best thinking, so you don't have to do it again. The compounding effect of investing in your knowledge over time is that you free yourself up from more basic, simpler, repetitive uses for your own brain. You free up your time and bandwidth to solve more interesting, more exciting, more unusual, more complex problems over time. The perfect place to keep that thinking? - Your Second Brain.
