Here are mistakes that we learned the hard way as gigster hosts. So #1. If you're on gigster, you're probably also on Peerspace. You might also be on Airbnb as well. Make sure to sync your calendars because if you double book it is the worst feeling in the world and you have to then negotiate with both parties how you're going to resolve it. So sync your calendars, Just do it. #2 Not having an exterior camera system, I'm less worried about safety. It's something that I should be more concerned about, but I am more. Concerned with the fact that if someone goes into overtime, you're going to need to be able to document it and provide proof that those people went into overtime? Gigster is going to ask for it. So definitely have your ring, camera or whatnot set up. We already have ours set up. Now #3 is new, not filling out a Gigster walkthrough report. So Gigster started a new thing where you and the renter have to both fill out this walkthrough report and sign it and date it to say that you're aware of the damages Done. In the past we have either been off site or we'll say we'll do a walk through later. This is not recommended. So definitely make sure that you fill out your gigster walkthrough report. If there are damages and you file a claim, they will ask for it. So recently we learned this the hard way. We said yes to projects that were not the right fit for our family. So what we've learned is that kind of the 20 to 30 person is really where we feel comfortable capping it. When it goes into 40 or more people, it really feels like. Focus or descending into your house and we'll take all your furniture out, move it, etcetera. So just really make sure that these projects are a fit for you, whether it's the amount of people, the type of project. For example, we've had a lot of cannabis brands reach out to us and want to do ads, but it would involve a lot of smoking in the backyard. That's not something that we really want our neighbors with children complaining about. I have no problem with it, but it just wasn't the right fit for our family and with this production venue. So be really, really crystal clear on what is good. And what is bad for your house? And then offering our space up for events. A lot of you guys love doing events. It's really fun to host parties, that sort of thing. I don't like the cleaning, it's a lot more. I definitely don't like all the loud music. I'm sure it just stresses me out with the the neighbors. I'm sure they don't love it either. And mainly parking. So productions, they really are good about in general about parking in designated areas. This is their job and their profession. Cardi Gas don't give a rats *** about where they're going to park, so sometimes they've even blocked in my neighbors and that's not good for our business for. Gigs are as a whole, so definitely consider that before doing events in your space. It's not for us.
