I get it. It seems wicked weird to start layering things like principles, values, and philosophies through topics like #quality and #testing. (And that this is WAY too much thinking on a weekend) But it’s exactly that pushing and pulling between… Those who insist The Old Ways are ‘best’ because they’re the foundation of everything. While others argue that traditions are nothing more than building blocks for continued exploration and as such are less ‘concrete’ and more ‘infinitely malleable’. And then the emerging “school of schools” approach that argues that both mindsets contribute things valuable and essential - stable, tested frameworks and methodologies that can be used to support and fuel exploration and innovation, that can then be used to inform and continue to shape those stable, tested frameworks so they can best support and fuel further exploration and innovation. #ouroboros #yinyang …that elevates the topic of quality and testing into full on technical, professional, and academic disciplines. There’s a lot a lot going on under the metaphorical hood is what I’m saying. Would love to hear other thoughts and arguments in the Comments.
