Sellers Have Until May 17th to Submit Amazon Prime Day Deals Sellers have until May 17, 2024, to submit recommended deals for a chance to be selected for Prime Day Week, according to a tweet by Amazon Sellers Group (ASGTG). The tweet included a screenshot of an Amazon seller-facing page that displayed the following message: “Amazon is now accepting submissions for Prime Day. Submit recommended deals by May 17, 2024 to have a chance to be selected for Prime Day week. I suspect only eligible sellers are shown the alert. I asked Amazon for the date of this year’s Prime Day sales event and for confirmation regarding the seller deals invitation. I also asked about eligibility requirements. An Amazon spokesperson responded, “We have not announced any details about Prime Day and do not have anything to share at this time.” The timing of such an invitation makes sense, given that Amazon generally holds its annual Prime Day sale in July (last year it was held July 11 through 12th), followed by Prime Big Deal Days (held on October 10 – 11 last year). Amazon recently held its inaugural “Big Spring Sale” on March 20 through the 25th.

If someone told me they had never heard of Amazon Prime Days, I'd be tempted to ask what rock they've been living under. If you choose not to participate because you believe that Amazon is killing small businesses, that's a different issue. But love it or hate it, there's a lot we can learn from Amazon Prime Days. 1. Embrace the data: Not all business owners love the numbers, but how will you know if you're successful if you have no way to measure it? Amazon's approach to advertising is very data driven, and being able to actually demonstrate their ROI is a big reason why they work. 2. Remove barriers: You may not have the resources Amazon does to drive web optimization and test the tiniest of details to maximize efficiency, but you can still remove barriers that are preventing customers from using your business. Do you have a marketing plan to make sure customers know who you are and what you're offering? Are you easy to find online? Is your store welcoming and well laid out? Do you have the right team in place to make customers feel like they've come to the right place? 3. Make small bets: Remember when Amazon just sold books? There were a lot of steps between that and Prime Days. So try making a small bet on a creative idea. If the data says it works, double down. 4. Play to your strengths and keep it simple: Everybody knows that Amazon smile logo. So what's your thing? What is your brand known for? Take your greatest strength and put it front and centre. It doesn't have to be complicated, it just has to be well-executed.

How we helped Matt grow his Amazon brand’s profits from 12% to 22% within the first 3 months My partner and I were able to grow two brands and exit them for almost an 8-figure check in less than four years.
