This year’s theme, “It’s Time,” emphasizes the urgent need for progress in our fight against climate change. From September 22-29, global leaders, innovators, and activists will come together to drive impactful climate action. The Opening Ceremony on September 22 will set the stage with inspiring discussions and major announcements from world leaders, business executives, and civil society representatives. This year’s focus is on: - Accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources. - Improving efficiency to reduce our carbon footprint. - Advancing energy storage, grid infrastructure, and low-carbon technologies. Excellent sessions today at #ImpactX #ixSummit24, tackling climate and nature. How can we scale investment in nature-positivity? The following two call-outs resonated most with me: 📑 Standards - the ISSB's nature standards are looming, and will give clarity and add pressure for businesses to address their nature (as well as climate) risks - and invest in solutions. 🏗 Place-based solutions - it is easier to identify what nature-positivity means in practice when we work on tangible, geographicallly-bounded projects. We should start here, be holistic and ambitious, and scale up what works to the national stage. #nature #climate #Sydney #sustainability
