Almost two-thirds of consumers in one survey reported that they disliked advertising. 3 For these and other reasons, consumers can be less tolerant about undesired marketing. They can choose to screen out online messages, skip commercials with their DVRs, and avoid marketing appeals through the mail or over the phone.
