keyboard types are too often forgotten in applications on iOS and Android they are of great help to the user when it comes to entering a specific date in a text field developers should also not forget that the keyboard should not cover useful elements: 1 - the text field itself as users "have to see" the text entered as a "feedback" 2 - any other UI items that are validating the text input particularly if the developer did not provide an alternative to the enter button in the keyboard e.g. "done" or "next" and developers should always check the input this is a part of that we call "secure coding"
