Doing some reading this morning about the significance of Glass Substrate as it relates to Mini and Micro LED display technology. It's amazing to me how simply moving from an organic/plastic material, that has been used for so long, to glass is going to literally power the next few generations of advancement in multiple technologies. The significance for LED Displays (Video Walls and more) is that we will once again see significant reductions in cost, improvements to color and resolution, and more efficient systems requiring less power and having less loss to heat. I get more excited because Vox Video Walls will likely be one of the first brands in the country to be able to offer this technology readily as we have already seen the prototypes and the roadmap is set by our manufacturing partner. We are about to receive our largest shipment of video walls so far and included are samples of the wide range of products we currently have available. Unfortunately no Glass Substrate yet, but we currently hold the title for smallest pixel pitch in the market in almost every category. Traditional methods, which combine yellow phosphors with blue chips in LEDs, have limitations such as inadequate red light components that affect color rendering and potential hazards from blue light exposure. A multifunctional phosphor has been developed, offering a versatile solution that not only addresses the limitations of traditional white LEDs, but is also used for visualized thermometers. Introduces a multifunctional material that could revolutionize white LED lighting and optical thermometry. The work, titled "Dual-functional application of Ca2Ta2O7:Bi3+/Eu3+ phosphors in multicolor tunable optical thermometry and WLED" The team's work on Bi3+/Eu3+ co-doped Ca2Ta2O7 (CTO:Bi3+/Eu3+) phosphors with tunable color emission from green to reddish-orange demonstrates how adjustable color emission can be achieved, enhancing the performance of white LEDs and paving the way for optical thermometers. The thermochromism, stability, and repeatability of these phosphors make them particularly noteworthy for applications in visual thermometers or high-temperature safety markings. The construction of a white LED device with a high color rendering index using the CTO:0.04Bi3+/0.16Eu3+ phosphor underscores its potential application in near-UV pumped white LED devices.
