What do you know about AI in L&D? Do you know the tools you need, and the approach you need to take to succeed? If you have any queries at all, join us, Don Taylor, and Ross Stevenson (Chief Learning Strategist at Steal These Thoughts!) on May 15th (from 9.30am) and we'll take you through it. There’s plenty of potential for AI in L&D, and we’ve seen that some L&D departments are actually putting it to use. But what should you be doing if you want to get started with AI or enhance your use of it? Few L&D practitioners have been as hands-on as Ross Stevenson in exploring the practical uses and limitations of AI for L&D. Ross generously makes his findings publically available via his company Steal These Thoughts! , and in this session he will share some of what he has discovered in his years of experimenting with generative AI technology including Large Language Models and more. Here's a flavour of what he'll cover: How to cut through AI overwhelm by understanding the fundamentals Why focus and experimentation are key to finding what’s right for you The four stages of generative AI skills readiness The power of AI agents, assistants and conversational bots for learning Why AI won’t change L&D as much as people say So don't delay, sign up today! ✨ Empowering Leaders and their teams to scale responsible AI | LinkedIn Top Voice in AI ✨ Speaker | Wiley Author | Multi-Award Winning Technologist | 4-time Microsoft Responsible AI MVP ✨
Here is my secret reason why I think EVERYONE should build an AI bot with generative AI. Even if you think you aren't a builder, think you aren't technical, or think someone else will do it. When you build, you learn. Creating a conversational application with an AI Model/LLM allows you to see how conversations work, how the LLM is impacted by certain words or phrases and the importance of safety systems and AI Red Teaming. You will likely be one of 2 people in this world. You will either be a builder of technology that uses AI OR You will be consumer of technology that uses AI. Either way, learning this fundamental skill will open your eyes to how these systems work, why they aren't magic and how very far away we are from AGI 😁 We recently launched a new Live Learning Lab at the AI Leadership Institute that allows you to see how you can build a conversational app responsibly. No prerequisite skills required. Monday we announce the first members to gain this new level of skill in the marketplace! Be a doer, not just a talker. Important PSA from Noelle R. and something we truly believe in at Virgent AI. This technology is so powerful, and as many entrepreneurs, CEOs and their teams are starting to get educated on the foundations of generative AI, LLMs (and some on AI Agents)--there is nothing like playing with the tech to start to better understand the possibilities. As Noelle states, "You will either be a builder of technology that uses AI OR You will be consumer of technology that uses AI. Either way, learning this fundamental skill will open your eyes to how these systems work, why they aren't magic and how very far away we are from AGI 😁" This means there is a lot of opportunities for modernizing operational workflows, enhancing productivity, and building unique and disruptive customer experiences with the current tech advancements that have e never been possible before---and be able to mitigate risks with the right protocols and security measures in place (without all the scary stuff)! As an entrepreneur, if you are looking to disrupt your market--this is that moment that you need to take time this seriously. I don't know many investors who are taking tech products seriously without a thoughtful AI-framework /stratrgy embedded that is not a ChatGPT wrapper. More to come, but thank you for sharing Noelle R. and leading in the space! #AIfirst #AIfirgood #businessandAI #virgentAI

🚀 A Primer on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Artificial Intelligence, or AI, isn't just a sci-fi dream anymore—it's here, and it's shaping the world around us. From voice assistants like Siri to the helpful chatbots on websites, AI is becoming an integral part of our daily lives. But what exactly is AI and how is it different from machine learning? AI is simply teaching machines to think like humans. But within the realm of AI, we have machine learning - machines that learn from experience, making decisions and predictions based on hundreds of terabytes of data. The journey of machine learning traces back to the 18th century, with classical statistical techniques laying the foundation. Fast forward to today, and we've entered the era of generative AI, where AI can not only recognize patterns, but also create new content. In the realm of text-based machine learning, we've seen a shift from supervised learning—where humans teach the model—to self-supervised learning. This means the model learns from vast amounts of text data, getting smarter and more accurate over time. The world of AI and machine learning is a thrilling frontier, and at Packback, we're excited to be a part of this journey. Stay tuned for more insights into the future of education and technology! #AI #MachineLearning #GenerativeAI #ChatGPT #EducationTechnology

Here's a LinkedIn post for "Fine-Tuning vs. Training GPT Models from Scratch": --- 🚀 Fine-Tuning vs. Training GPT Models from Scratch: What's the Best Approach? In the rapidly evolving world of AI, understanding the difference between fine-tuning and training GPT models from scratch is key to leveraging the full potential of these powerful tools. Here’s a quick breakdown: 🔍 Training from Scratch: This approach involves building a model from the ground up, using vast datasets to train it to understand and generate language. While it offers complete control over the model's architecture and behavior, it requires extensive computational resources, time, and large datasets. Typically reserved for research labs or large organizations, this method is best when aiming to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI. ✨ Fine-Tuning: Fine-tuning involves taking a pre-trained model (like GPT-3 or GPT-4) and adjusting it with specific, smaller datasets to tailor it for a particular task or domain. This method is more efficient, cost-effective, and faster compared to training from scratch. It's the go-to approach for businesses and developers looking to leverage powerful AI models without needing massive resources. 💡 Key Takeaways: Fine-Tuning is ideal for adapting a powerful existing model to a specific use case, requiring fewer resources. Training from Scratch is best for developing entirely new capabilities or innovations in the AI field but demands significant investment. Choosing the right approach depends on your goals, resources, and the specific needs of your project. Whether you’re looking to innovate or optimize, understanding these strategies will help you navigate the AI landscape effectively. #AI #MachineLearning #GPT #FineTuning #DeepLearning #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation
