In the article, “From Europe With Strategy: Changing Expatriate Pay Approaches,” Brett highlighted a significant shift in corporate mobility strategies over the past three decades. Companies now often assign employees to a Host location on a temporary basis, contrasting with the late 1990s when over 50% of a company’s mobile workforce was authorized for tax-equalized services. Now authorizing this service has dropped to less than 10% of a mobile population for many companies.
