While only a few people get time off work for today, #Juneteenth should truly be a holiday for everyone. I think this is the most important holiday in the United States and should have been implemented sooner. Juneteenth is a celebration of the beginning of the end of one of America's most problematic aspects in its history, something that we all should celebrate and meditate on. For those unaware of its importance, Juneteenth is celebrated to "commemorate the ending of #slavery in the United States. The holiday's name is a portmanteau of the words "June" and "nineteenth", as it was on June 19, 1865, when Major General Gordon Granger ordered the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas at the end of the American Civil War. Although this date commemorates enslaved people learning of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation, this only applied to former Confederate states. There remained legally enslaved people in states that never seceded from the Union. These people did not gain their freedom until the ratification of the 13th Amendment to the United States Constitution on December 6, 1865." Of course, the freedom gained that day did not change the USA quickly and it took until the Civil Rights movement of the 60s for black Americans to start gaining the equal rights and respect they deserved. And that also did not change this country quickly. #freedomday #equalityforall #civilrights #celebratefreedom
Reflecting on our history, celebrating our present, and building a better future. Happy Juneteenth from all of us at FCAH Aerospace. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #CelebrateFreedom #EqualityForAll #DiversifyAndInclusion #UnityAndProgress

Do you know the story behind the first Air Force One? The aircraft – Columbine II, a Lockheed Constellation VC-121-A – was the first aircraft given the now-famous call-sign while flying President Dwight Eisenhower in 1953. Learn more about the history behind the airplane often affectionately referred to as “America’s business aircraft.” See link for a great video from the #NBAA #bizav #businessaviation #airtravel #aircraft #aviation

Gulfstream Aerospace got its start when Grumman decided to separate their civil aviation division from their military work. The new company wasted no time reinventing itself. Spurred by competition from Lockheed, Hawker Siddeley, and Dassault, they flew the first Gulfstream II jet in 1966. The Gulfstream II was a very different vehicle than its predecessor, the turboprop-powered Grumman Gulfstream I. Obviously, the decision to opt for jet power was a big change. With jet engines came a major speed boost and a service ceiling 11,000 feet higher than the Gulfstream I. It also necessitated a big change from the slower plane’s straight wing; the Gulfstream II got a futuristic swept wing, something that was still rather new for civil aircraft. Though not large compared to airliners, the Gulfstream II could seat as many as 19 people – much more than many executive jets both then and now. That was a selling point for some, and in total 256 jets were produced. One well-known customer was Nelson Rockefeller. During his tenure as Gerald Ford’s vice president, he preferred to travel in his own jet rather than the government C-131 normally assigned to his office. At the time, his jet, with tail number N100WK, gained the callsign Executive Two whenever he was aboard. There are still a few Gulfstream II jets in the air, even though they’re a bit dated now. Yours may need a bit of sprucing up, so we encourage you to call Luminary Air Group. We can bring your cabin into the 21st century and do it with style! #aircraftinteriors #aviationhistory #luxuryaircraft #ADMI

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦: “If it is not Boeing, then I am not Going!!!!” 𝐓𝐨: “𝐼𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤𝑒𝑟: Would you fly in one of those (787 Dreamliner)? 𝐵𝑜𝑒𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑃𝑙𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑘𝑒𝑟: Yeah, I probably would, but I have kind of a Death Wish too!!” Boeing has produced some of the iconic aircraft in commercial and military space- - 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥: 737, 747 and 777. - 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲: Airforce One, F15, F18, Apache Helicopter, Chinook, B-52 and C17 Globemaster. But its image is transitioning from a symbol of reliability to one overshadowed by cost-cutting and inferior products. Concerns over safety and quality have emerged, challenging the company's reputation. Rebuilding trust demands a return to prioritizing QUALITY over COST, restoring confidence in their aircraft's excellence. This holds beyond aerospace, extending to fields like Artificial Intelligence. Inferior quality of data and feeble underlying analytical models can generate poor quality outputs, misleading information, amplification of bias, and probable performance degradation of systems. Some of which were recently seen in the case of Google’s Gemini.

Rene Bernstein, Vice President of Defence Germany at Rolls-Royce Deutschland stated, “As discussed at our successful Capital Markets Day, we’re continuing to leverage value from our Pearl engine family. The use of market-available technologies with a stable value chain reduces the overall risk and controls the development and product costs of platforms serving our security. In turn, this strengthens the international competitiveness of such a system in the long-term, and building on available advanced technology will enable the industry to move fast to make such complex products market-ready in uncertain geopolitical times.” Bruce Lennie Sukhvinder Khaira Julian MacCormac James Partington Dirk Oberstadt Tom Ford Hannah March Tony Allen Hugh V.
