Lee Maxey’s Post

It was once the “golden ticket” to the American dream. But the value of a college education, specifically a 4-year degree, is no longer what it was. Companies are dropping degree requirements. And replacing them with in-house training programs. Higher ed still has a place in learning and workforce readiness. But the future won’t look like the past. I wrote about the need to align higher ed missions and corporate interests for Chief Learning Officer: https://lnkd.in/e8iU9Gcz Is your institution partnering with any business interests to develop programming? #highereducation #highereducationleadership #innovation

After the holiday break the first bullet point on my agenda is to develop partnerships with business to hopefully develop programming. I’d love to create corporate training like opportunities for upskilling and reskilling. On the CE side it is a bit easier to develop the programs since I have less hoops to jump through.
