On the second day of our #BritishScienceWeek festivities, we're thrilled to shine a spotlight on our exceptional Vice President of Science, Claire Pollard. In 2013, Claire achieved Chartered Scientist status, marking a significant milestone with the Institute of Water's initiation of Professional Registration for scientists. Since then, she has served as an assessor for all three scientific registration tiers within both the Institute of Water and the Science Council. Throughout her career journey spanning the DWI, Anglian Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, and presently with Leep Utilities, Claire has consistently championed the importance of Professional Registration. She fervently advocates for its benefits, actively encouraging her scientific peers to pursue registration in their respective roles. In 2022, Claire reached another pinnacle in her career when she joined the Institute of Water's Board of Directors as Vice President of Science, further solidifying her dedication and leadership in the field. Currently, Claire is responsible for the organisation of tomorrow's #IWaterSciConf2024, showcasing her ongoing commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and collaboration within the water sector. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Claire for her outstanding contributions and tireless dedication to the advancement of science. #IWaterProfReg #BSW24
