As we approach Q4 and the end of the year, I'm going to take a page out of Alexander Berry-Santoro's book and reflect on the successes of this year. For a year that began with a serious injury that left me out of commission for almost two months (torn Achilles tendon) and many more months of physical therapy, this year is looking to end up as one of my most successful (if not the most successful) year in my professional life. Highlights include: 1. Originations grew by roughly 300% over last year; 2. Almost $300m in total deal volume (including matters in which I assisted as 2nd or 3rd chair); 3. More than two dozen real estate developments; 4. Countless small deals and contracts negotiated, drafted, signed and closed. I'm thankful for a lot--too much to for a complete list, but here's an attempt (in no particular order): I'm blessed to work with an amazing group of attorneys and partners here at Maddin Hauser; I have recovered from my injury; my family is happy and healthy. Despite some hiccups, its been a helluva year. Here's to the end of a successful year, and more successes to come in 2025!
