✨ Day 24 Reflection: Classroom Games with Optional Side Quests ✨ I've been asked how I continue to engage students in our classroom game without including behavior management or grading. One element I like to add is opening up “side quests” that are completely optional. These quests are designed around the skills they’re learning or have already mastered, allowing students to earn points for the game, or in my case, “miles,” to move themselves and their teams ahead in the game. It’s a fun, low-pressure way to deepen their learning, promote teamwork, and give them some choice without the need for formal assessments. #TeachingReflection #ClassroomGames #StudentEngagement #Gamification #OptionalLearning #SkillBuilding #Education #GrowthMindset #CreativeTeaching #IDEAil

In today's tech-driven world, many children rely on digital devices to keep track of time. This can lead to a decreased ability to read traditional analog clocks. However, there are still ways to make learning time both engaging and educational. These telling time games incorporate interactive activities and challenges to help students develop their time-telling skills in a fun and effective way. Is knowing how to read a clock still a valuable skill in this day and age? Or should students spend their time learning more practical skills? #telltime #learnthroughplay #playfullearning #tellingtimegames #practicalskills #skilldevelopment #digitalsecurity #digitalsecurity #studentsuccess #studentdevelopment ##SafesSchool

Co-founder and COO at Mind Blown League | Co-founder Pitch Bright | EdTech Innovator | Gaming for Green | Fostering Science-curiosity | Driving Educational Transformation
#validation It's been just five months since we officially launched Mind Blown League. Since then, we've been moved by the stories of educators and learners who have embraced our games as learning tools. Yesterday, I received a message from an educator who had arrived at her new school. She reached out on the very first day of preparations, expressing her desire to introduce our educational games and activities to her new group of learners. She said that the learners in her previous school had really enjoyed the games and she knew that it work just as well in her new school. The fact that it resonated so strongly with her speaks volumes about the meaningful connections it fosters in the learning environment. This kind of validation, especially so early in our journey, is incredibly heartening. It reinforces our commitment to creating educational tools that genuinely make a difference. In the words of Warren Buffett, "Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." We're here, planting the seeds of learning through our games, with the belief that they will bloom into lasting educational success. To all the educators starting a new chapter and the slearners embarking on a fresh academic adventure, we're honoured to be a part of your journey. Here's to a year filled with growth, connection, and success! #EdTechSuccess #HeartfeltStories #NewBeginnings #2024AcademicYear #mindblownleague #learningthroughplay #gamebasedlearning #SDG4 #SDG13 #gamingforagreenerfuture #education #socialimpact
