There's no singular cause for arthritis (especially considering there are over 100 types!), but there are certain risk factors that can increase your chances of developing arthritis, including: 🔹 Smoking 🔹 Obesity 🔹 Joint injuries (from falls, sports, etc.) 🔹 Work-related activities (bending, squatting, etc.) While there's no cure for arthritis, your provider can work with you to create an effective treatment plan to manage your pain. #WeAreLegent #WorldArthritisDay

In honor of Child Health Day yesterday, we want to share a bit about systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA)—a rare subtype that exists in 10-20% of children with JIA. Children with systematic JIA experience persistent, often debilitating symptoms, such as daily fevers, rash, and joint issues. The exact cause is unknown and treatment options are limited, with the main options including medication and lifestyle adjustments. If your child suffers from regular pain, don't hesitate to reach out to your provider. Early detection and treatment are key to improving quality of life. #WeAreLegent #ChildHealthDay
