📢 ✨ Announcement: We are thrilled to announce the completion of the world's first S-GNSS® receiver, developed as part of the European Space Agency - ESA’s NAVISP program. In our final presentation yesterday, Javier Garcia, Principal GNSS Engineer and Project Lead, shared the outputs from this programme with the NAVISP audience. This innovative receiver, featuring our award-winning Supercorrelation™ technology, will bolster our commercialization strategy by supporting IP development and product delivery. It is poised to unlock new commercial opportunities with customers and facilitate integration with partner chipset suppliers. We have already begun driving trials in dense urban and forested environments using the S-GNSS® receiver. These trials have demonstrated significant accuracy improvements in both measurement (pseudorange and doppler) and position domains (position and velocity). Initial results highlight a clear enhancement in GNSS positioning accuracy in challenging environments, validating the effectiveness of the S-GNSS® upgrade in boosting chip performance. GSOA was on a panel discussing the future of Flat Panel Antennas during Satcoms Innovation Group (SIG) Europe Workshop at ETL Systems facilities. 🌍 Satellite operators have pointed out issues with certain inefficient FPAs available in the market and are urging GSOA and SIG to take the lead in establishing clear guidelines for manufacturers and testing companies. 📊 Consistent, digestible data and true performance testing across different orbits, including beam interaction and degradation, are crucial. 💡 While commercial pressures push for rapid network integration, the potential long-term drawbacks could surpass the immediate benefits. The CHCNAV i93 GNSS receiver has been tested by NGS (NOAA) for its antenna calibration, which is the process of determining the point of reception of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) carrier phase signals. To obtain precise coordinates at a point, the signal phase advance and delay (calibration values) that occur at the antenna must be applied when processing the collected GNSS data.
