Tropical Storm 🌀 Debby is approaching South Florida, and it's crucial for our First Responders ecosystem to be prepared. From Police, Fire, EMS, to Hospitals - readiness is key! Communities are stocking essentials like power, water, food, batteries, and ensuring phones are charged.
🚨Communication is the lifeline during such events, whether natural disasters or man-made attacks. The First Responder Network Authority understands this critical need. They offer Priority, Preemption, and Deployable assets, along with personnel support during emergencies. The partner selected to a 25 year commitment to do so is FirstNet, Built with AT&T
🆘 Having served as a combat veteran managing communications 24x7 during Desert Storm, I emphasize the vital role of communication in saving lives. Let's stay prepared, connected, and ready to face any challenges that come our way. #FirstResponders#EmergencyPreparedness#CommunicationIsKey
Check out Bintel Maps to see the latest fire updates for the fires currently burning in the Colorado front range.
For those of us living in a cloud of smoke in the Colorado Denver metro area right now keeping track of what’s been going on this past week can be challenging. Between news articles that are updated at random intervals, posts on social media, and different agencies posting fire and evacuation maps it is challenging to get the whole picture. Most of us living here have friends and family spread out over the area and want to know where all of these fires are and how at risk the adjacent communities are. This way we can reach out and support evacuation, especially for people who may have more difficulty evacuating due to health, mobility, or access to transportation.
Bintels mission is to work to aggregate this information because we know first hand what it’s like to need access to it. We remember the 2020 fire season and the Marshall fire. We also understand the different agencies are doing the best they can with the tools they have right now. We want to bridge the gap between what the public needs and what the agencies can provide.

Two wildfires in New Mexico have scorched more than 24,000 acres and destroyed 1,400 structures. The wildfires, named the South Fork and Salt fires, continue to spread as the region faces threats of flash flooding.
These satellite images show an overview of the South Fork wildfire in both natural color and color infrared. In the infrared image, black/grey shades show burned areas while red/pink shades depict healthy vegetation.
Our team has been working with first responders to help conduct damage assessments in partnership with the United States Air ForceCivil Air Patrol, FEMA and National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
The wildfires remain 0% contained according to the State of New Mexico’s latest update.

On February 16, 1968, the first recorded 9-1-1 call was made. At the end of the 20th century, nearly 93% of the population of the United States was covered by some type of 9-1-1 service. 95% of that coverage was Enhanced 9-1-1. Approximately 96% of the geographic US is covered by some type of 9-1-1 capability.
The Peraton First Responder Solutions Team recognizes all fire, police, ambulance and emergency services on this historic 56th anniversary of the first 9-1-1 phone call. We are the company that: provided the public safety system that supported 9-1-1 EMS calls during the Terrorist Attacks on September 11th, that provided the system that supported 57,000 calls for service during Hurricane Harvey, that provided the system that supported over 5,000 calls for service during the Grenfell Towers fire in London, and the company that provides the Computer Aided Dispatch support to the state of California’s firefighting efforts every year. Our purpose is to be the first responders behind-the-scenes, enabling our systems to support your missions. We are 9-1-1 for 9-1-1. #DoTheCantBeDone#Peraton#PeratonPublicSafety#CommandpointCAD#CPCAD#CADtoCAD#FirstResponderSolutions#FirstResponders#Mobility #9-1-1for9-1-1.

The U.S. Coast Guard's recent response to the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Maryland highlighted critical challenges faced by the service. Mobilizing substantial resources and personnel, including 4 cutters, 36 barges, 27 tugboats, and 275 active duty staff, the Coast Guard showcased its commitment to disaster response. However, this response impacted readiness for other emergencies such as the upcoming hurricane season, reflecting the strain on its workforce and resources. With a workforce of 57,000 personnel handling diverse duties from law enforcement to national defense, the Coast Guard faces resource constraints and the need for modernization to tackle evolving threats like cyberattacks, drug trafficking, and climate change. Congressional support will be essential for the Coast Guard to address funding gaps, reconstitute, and enhance preparedness for future crises.
