What are the ‘seatbelt moments’ you’ve experienced? Transformational changes that endure. Changes that solve problems or inefficiencies that we often didn’t fully understand in the moment, but in heinsight discover the change was not only nesseary, but that now that we are on the other side of the change, we find ourselves better off. I’m particularly fascinated by enduring changes to which we fasten moral or ethical positions. For example, I remember the day my city introduced composting and recycling bins and the practice of sorting our waste. At the outset, I was resistant. “These tree huggers!”. Years later looking back today, I can find myself scowling at people that didn’t wash their plastics before placing them in ‘the blue bin.’ Changes that gain ethical attachments are powerful, and endure. We are in the business of introducing specific workforce ‘sealtbelt moments’ at KnowHow. Our focus is on helping our clients build confident workforces, fast, by transforming the way we get the job done the right way the first time. Untangling all the moving parts. An interesting example of the impact of the changes we’ve introduced is when a company reaches out to us to share that they’ve encountered a roadblock in their recruitment efforts of a key hire, “we’ve just offered a job to (person), and they said that at their last job they used KnowHow and that they will take the job if out company adopts your software to make sure they can manage and support the department properly. How fast can we get started.” This is an example of someone (in this case the top shelf prospect) that has seen what’s on the other side of an enduring change, has experienced the benefit, is able to remember ‘life before’ and refuses to go back. What’s driving all this? We’ve observed that it has become more difficult for companies to deliver what they promise (labor challenges, costs, timelines, customer expectations, regulation) yet the job still needs to get done. Embracing this new workforce change requires learning a few new dance moves, and those adopting our AI solutions are seeing results. Increased retention, increased productivity, reductions in costly errors, and improved quality of life for everyone involved in getting things done. The changes we are introducing are here, many more are coming, and the impacts and ROI speak for themselves. For workers, the path from ‘Day one to confidence’ has changed. What side of these enduring changes is your company on today? Thanks Floodlight Consulting Group for the spotlight.
