⭐ March is #WomensHistoryMonth in America, where we collectively honor women's contributions to American History. And March 8 is #InternationalWomensDay, a global day celebrating women's social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. ⭐At AREP, women’s achievements, leadership, and strength are integral to our mission and vital to our success. They stand as role models for women entering the CRE industry, and their talents and dedication drive our company forward at every level. However, a recent GlobeSt.com article asks why women continue to be underrepresented in our industry, citing CREW Network's 2020 survey, which estimates that only 36% of commercial real estate professionals are women—a statistic that AREP remains focused on helping to change. ⭐This year’s #IWD theme is #InspireInclusion; we encourage everyone to recognize the women in their lives who teach us how to do great things and inspire us to be greater than we were the day before. Today marks the beginning of Women's History Month, a yearly observance since 1987! This month is dedicated to recognizing the often unacknowledged contributions of women to the history, culture, and society of the United States. The theme for this year is "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion". Such a strong message and excited that Kay Prince is speaking on a panel at The Female Quotient #EqualityLounge at #sxsw2024. The panel is "Empowering Women in Media and Tech: Driving Diversity and Inclusion for a More Equitable Future," 🙇♂️ Did you know... 85% of purchase decisions are made by women. 51% of the U.S. population are women.   Yet, only 2% of VC funding finds its way to women.  Just under 5% of public sector suppliers are women-owned businesses. And women hold a mere 5% of CEO roles in the S&P 500. Equality is possible… when good intentions meet intentional actions.
