Get ready to soar! Aviation is reaching new heights! In recent times, major players in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector, including Korean Air with its ambitious MRO facility plans in Asia and Rolls-Royce's partnership in Singapore, have announced substantial investment strategies. Moreover, notable newcomers like Lufthansa, with investment plans exceeding $1 billion, and GE US, which has committed over $600 million solely for this year, have joined the fray to secure a more sizable portion of the rapidly growing aviation market. This influx of investments suggests that prominent industry players are indeed confident enough to kickstart a global investment surge in their quest to capture a more significant segment of the burgeoning aviation market. #mro #aircraftmaintenance #Aviation #Aerospace #AvGeek #PilotLife #Flight #Aircraft #AviationIndustry #AirTravel #AviationNews #Airport #AviationTechnology #AviationJobs #AviationMaintenance #CommercialAviation #BusinessAviation #AviationCommunity #AviationSafety #AviationEvents #AviationTraining #AviationManagement #StandardAero #lufthansa #lufthansatechnik #geaerospace #overhaul #koreanair #rollsroyce

5th Central Asia Aviation Summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. Central Asian Skies: Ready for Take-off Askhat Torshin, Director of Representative Office in Kazakhstan, Lufthansa Consulting "The air traffic in Central Asia grew by 60% comparing from 2017. However, the region continues to be under-penetrated, with a large untapped flying population. Although the region's international connectivity is improving, connections between the countries of Central Asia are sub-optimal." #CentralAsiaAviationSummit #CAAS #atocomm #markcomm #airlines #airports #aviation

AMAZON , Don’t destroy AMAZON Our forests are disappearing at an alarming rate. Over the past few decades, we've witnessed the devastating impact of deforestation, with millions of acres of lush, vibrant ecosystems being cleared for various purposes. This alarming trend not only destroys the natural habitats of countless species but also contributes to climate change, soil erosion, and the disruption of vital water cycles. It's time we take action to protect and restore our precious forests and oceans and finally Earth before it's too late. NATO or other Organizations are also responsible for protecting our forests and oceans and all humanity with peace . They should respect to all thoughts without considering racism and finally developing to keep our planet Earth . We have no other place to live as alternative except Earth . A modified Air Astana A321LR is to recommence non-stop services between Kazakhstan’s Almaty International Airport and London Heathrow, using additional fuel tanks to negate the previous route’s fuel stop in Aktau, south-west Kazakhstan. Although online resource Air Miles Calculator estimates a direct flight between departure and destination to be some 3,045 nautical miles, factoring in diversion and reserve minima, Air Astana has employed additional tanks to complete the route non-stop. This will now no longer include the technical stop in Aktau, a feature of the route since March 2022. With the exclusion of this refuelling stop, the “route will become fully non-stop and more comfortable,” explained Air Astana, with overall flight time reduced by one and a half hours to approximately nine hours and 35 minutes. This will make it one of the longest narrowbody routes in the world. The standard Airbus A321LR (the long-range variant of the neo) has a range of up to 4,000 nautical miles, utilising three additional centre tanks. “Ideally suited to transatlantic routes, the A321LR allows airlines to tap into new long-haul markets not previously accessible with current single-aisle aircraft,” explains its manufacturers. #airastana #aviation Air Astana 2024-10-03 #

It was a privilege to be on the panel with Andrew Margolis Ciaran O'Sullivan Sanjeev K Steven Dickson. Steven’ well thought questions kept us and the audience highly engaged and there was great learning from the senior airport leaders on the huge potential, challenges and complexity in creating a technology ecosystem at airports. A key pain point that kept surfacing during the discussion was #disruption and the need for all stakeholders to work together by leveraging on technology for #paxrecovery, #aircraftturnaround and #schedulerecovery and also damage to the brand. From an #airport perspective The key challenge is getting early information and the promise of technology is #interoperability to proactively manage disruption. Great insight on the #digitaltwin and #acdm programs which give visibility to staff on the move. The main responsibility of #groundhandling is fast aircraft turnaround and we exchanged a passionate perspective on the disconnected airport systems which need to be integrated for fast, secure and efficient turnaround. Great perspective also on Airport and Border processes, increasingly, getting closer with increased interest from Border Control to work closely with airports on Biometric technologies to give a seamless travel experience. I took the opportunity to focus on the travel and traveller perspective where technologies like AI are increasingly being adopted into the travel systems to intelligently plan travel so that travellers are fully cleared for travel even before the journey begins and in a disruption scenario the travel plan adapts to an updated plan…All this is possible through information from planning, booking, reservation, check-in, security, boarding and arrival commute and hotel bookings. Travellers are not just checking in to #airports for flights but increasingly checking into a #travelexperience (https://lnkd.in/d8qzNZ9b) and hence the impact of disruption is much more to brand image.
Sunil Ankalgi offered his expertise at Aviation Festival Asia earlier today. Amadeus’ Regional Director discussed how airports can use new technology to create an operational ecosystem that will stand the test of time in Singapore. #Ecosystem #Aviation #Technology #AviationFestAsia #Airports

The Singapore airshow was buzzing! Things were back in full swing, and this time with an increased focus on #sustainableaviation. Advanced Air Mobility (#AAM) will lead this frontier with new #zero-operating emission flight, and was strongly featured at this year’s airshow conferences. Comparing with the last airshow in 2022, there was now a growing industry consensus on “when” AAM will enter-into-service and not “if”. For #APAC, there continues to be upbeat sentiment on the AAM market potential, and discussions centred on #certification and regulatory alignment, #commercialization, and navigating market nuances. Vertical Aerospace had a fruitful week, together with Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer Andrew Macmillan, where we met with our customers (AirAsia, Marubeni Corporation), government, partners, and industry friends from around the world. We took the opportunity to share on our plans for demo flying at the Farnborough International airshow later this year, and internationally in 2025. This year is going to be #landmark year for eVTOL companies and certainly for Vertical in our advancement of our flight test campaign and certification milestones. The Singapore airshow brought about a great meeting of minds and gave us a flying start to the year! Adventure in the Skies: Delivering a Partenavia P68 What started as a routine aircraft delivery turned into an epic journey! We were tasked with flying a Prtenavia P68 from Frankfurt, Germany, to Balapan, Kazakhstan. Sounds simple, right? Not quite! The Challenge: The P68's limited range meant the journey required seven legs. Each stop demanded precise coordination. Fuel Woes: Aviation gas was a must, but not every airport had it. This added an unexpected layer of complexity. Route Surprises: The crew had to adapt mid-flight, requiring us to secure last-minute approvals—often delaying progress. Permit Puzzles: Navigating permit processes in multiple countries tested our team's expertise and patience. Despite these difficulties, we successfully delivered the aircraft to its new owner. Stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes insights on each leg of this extraordinary flight! #flightsupport #flightdispatch #aviation
