4 things every "World Class" Destination playground need........ There are so many playgrounds in the UK and many of them just about appeal to children and keep them interested for a bit..... But to really engage with them and get them coming back for more you need to provide:- 1. FANTASY - providing opportunity to be creative with how the playspace is perceived and used. Non literal designs that allow room for interpretation 2. FUNCTIONALITY - vast opportunity to explore their 3D universe, climbing, sliding, spinning, jumping, rolling, crawling "You get it" not just prescribed spaces but flexible to indivual needs 3. SOCIAL INTERACTION - people attract people and kids love it when they get to play with others in invented games outside the norm. Bring them together and watch the incubator of play in action 4. CONSTRUCTIVE - Kids love to manipulate the world around them so make sure you include things they can control - sand and water play is a top choice for many but also musical 🎼 or loveable objects and/ play equipment that encourages forced movement!! Let's peek behind the curtain!   🏰 Summoning the Room Layouts 🏰   Our dungeon generator kicks off by summoning a set number of room layouts. These layouts dance into existence around a spawn point that moves left, right, up, and down based on the whims of a random number generator (ranging from 0 to 3). As each layout materializes, it joins a growing list. To facilitate testing, the starting room is adorned with a bold blue for the entrance and a fiery red for the grand finale.   🛠️ Building the Maze 🛠️   But wait, there's more! With our layout list in hand, our trusty script sets to work, meticulously erecting walls and carving out doorways to seamlessly connect neighboring rooms. It's like building a maze, except our players won't get lost – hopefully.   💰 Stashing the Treasure 💰   Now comes the fun part – deciding where to stash the treasure! Again, our trusty random number generator pinpoints prime locations for our treasure chest (marked in tantalizing green) and our shop room (shining in vibrant yellow). Using a min and max index value of our list, we can ensure the chosen room is at a prime distance from the starting and end point. Each chosen room gets a golden ticket and is whisked away from the list, ensuring it won't be swapped out later.   🎨 Filling in the Details 🎨   With our canvas primed and ready, it's time to fill in the details! Our logic swoops through each empty room, choosing from a stash of prefabricated room content. These picture-perfect prefabs pop into existence at the heart of each layout, bringing our dungeon to life. And there you have it – a labyrinth of endless possibilities, where every playthrough offers a fresh adventure. Our algorithm guarantees a different path from start to finish, ensuring players never tire of exploring. I've always wanted to try some hallway pieces to see how they will flow with the exhibits. Also, this allows me to incorporate things like "Tabby's Learning Experience" and "Sparky's Skeeball Paradise," to name a few past exhibits. Also, this allows me to try different things like additional teasers, wall games, odd pics, etc. So far, here's a work-in-progress of a hallway that leads to March and April's "Whimsical Wonderland" exhibit. Introducing AFROMANIA: my most prized (self negotiated) project after completing second year, helping me to achieve a first class. A game dedicated to all young black girls (including my inner child) who grew up playing dress-up games based on people that don't exactly look like us. The style chosen is heavily inspired by platforms/websites such as Girlsgogames and retro game consoles such as gameboy, DS, etc. Such a unique texture is to be embraced and taken care of like any other, just with some extra steps! My first attempt to photograph/process star trails. . Since we are on the approach slope to KATL, I had a general idea about air traffic in our area. But didn't realize we had so much activity is going on at 1030PM Shot on Sony A7RV, 14mm GM, peak design tripod. 30s exposure, f/4, 800 ISO, total of 168 images. Polaris alignment using Skyview app
