The year 2024 has been an incredible journey. At the beginning of 2024, I set out on a mission: to create a hub that empowers individuals, regardless of their prior knowledge, to navigate the exciting world of Web3 and achieve financial freedom. Elaris Hub was born from this vision. What began as a free initiative quickly evolved into a paid program to ensure sustainable operations and provide a high quality learning environment for our students. Throughout the year, we faced numerous challenges, including rising costs and the constant need to adapt to the dynamic Nigerian landscape. However, despite these hurdles, Elaris Hub has witnessed remarkable success. This year, I've had the privilege of witnessing numerous students transform from complete beginners to confident Web3 professionals. Many have already surpassed the milestone of earning over a million Naira through their newfound Web3 skills. This is a testament to their dedication and the transformative power of consistent learning and action. At Elaris Hub, we firmly believe in the mantra "NO EXCUSES." I've seen firsthand how individuals overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Students with limited resources have acquired the necessary tools and knowledge to thrive in Web3. This year has been a journey of growth, not just for our students but for Elaris Hub as well. As we step into 2025, I am committed to continuing this journey, empowering more individuals and creating even greater success stories. We will continue to make the necessary decisions, adapt to evolving circumstances, and provide an exceptional learning experience for our students. What a brilliant hackathon season opener it was in January, from the 23rd to the 24th. The organization team of the German Aerospace Center asked me if I would like to take part in a hackathon about satellite data, the CODE-DE platform. The slogan was ADDAPT - CONNECT - SUSTAIN. With the help of satellite data, the participants should build solutions with it. In contrast to many other, rather smaller hackathons (30-60 participants) in Germany, I was very pleasantly surprised that everything was held in English. This is a great pity when you consider that major problems could be solved on a large scale, especially from the perspective of many nations. Everything really was in English. From the hackathon information about the process, to the guests introducing their companies, to the hallway radio. I take my hat off to all the participants who say they don't speak English or don't speak it well enough and still presented their project. Hackathons are still events that are about networking, and the right people were chosen here.
