Happy, happy, happy! We’ve been selected as a Slush Top 20 startup out of more than 1,000 applicants 😊 I’m very happy about this because we might get to redefine what Web 3.0 was supposed to be. You see, right now it’s mainly fraud, memecoins, and money laundering—convince me otherwise. Web 2.0 was great because it made websites dynamic and made software distribution possible on a global scale. Web 3.0, in my opinion, will be an intelligent web. Sites will no longer be static text and SEO spam but vast repositories of knowledge that understand you and adjust content for you. These sites will not be chat interfaces but will adhere to familiar UX. The site we’re building (https://gralio.ai/) looks like a familiar comparison site but has a deep understanding of complex software products. It also has a deep understanding of businesses and their software needs. This enables a simple presentation of interactive, personalized, always up-to-date content that wasn’t possible before. Right now, AIs are performing the work equivalent to 10 human analysts sifting through data and documenting software capabilities. 🤖 Currently, the way we choose software is painful. Business owners and managers are overwhelmed by the number of choices and integrations. We’ve spoken to hundreds of SMBs and NGOs—from skiing schools and marketing agencies to real estate developers—and everyone struggles with the selection process. One of our investors paid a software selection consultant, onboarded a well-known CRM, only to suffer for months and remove it later. Does this sound familiar? 😖 We believe that software is inherently good. The demand for software will explode with the coming AI wave. The ecosystem will expand and become even more complex than it is today. 🌈 So I’m very grateful to Slush for selecting us from 1,000 startups to present. A mix of minds - investors, clients, partners from education, research, corporate, government and NGOs also joined the retreat, alongside the Alkemio team. 🎉 Today we celebrated the conclusion of an almost year long journey within the #10xHealth life science scaleup program, with inspiration from Martin Stenfeldt and Anna Philipson♦️ from Good Accelerator helping the companies reflect on the past year, and putting forward the companies aspirations for the next phase of growth. Martin shared some of the findings of his upcoming book in scaling up life science companies, with interesting conclusions and models for the participants to reflect on.   📈10xHealth is a scaleup program targeting life science growth companies in southern Sweden (Skåne and Blekinge) and is developed by SmiLe Venture Hub and Medicon Village with partial funding from the European Regional Development Fund. The participants of the pilot program 2024 are Iconovo AB, Neola Medical, Uman Sense, Paindrainer AB, NanoEcho AB, and Cyxone.   🚀The next iteration of the program will commence in August 2025, and will be open for applications in January 2025. 💡 Lindus Health is the ‘anti-CRO’ fixing the broken clinical trial industry, setting the stage for greater scientific innovation and lower healthcare costs. The company offers clinical trials that are up to three times faster and produce demonstrably better quality trial data than traditional players thanks to an AI and tech-first approach. Today, we are sharing that Lindus has raised a $55 million Series B round led by Balderton Capital with participation from Creandum, firstminute capital, Visionaries Club and Seedcamp. Amino Collective first invested in the seed round in 2021 and participated in the subsequent Series A round. We think a lot about how to get the best drugs to the right patients, from drug discovery through to care delivery, and clinical trials are a huge part of that process that just hasn't seen any real innovation until now. Lindus Health has reimagined the entire tech stack and created a frictionless "anti-CRO" that has already recruited and treated 35,000 patients. With so much money going into the earlier stages of AI drug discovery we really need a better way to get through this bottleneck to bring patients the treatments that they need. It is great to see a London based company scale so quickly and is just one of many to come from the Amino portfolio.

What comes after innovation? At VetForum 2024, our CEO Ryan Gallagher shared the founding story of Scribenote and what comes after initial product market fit. As an ex-VC now working in a start-up, I couldn't help but draw parallels between Ryan's take and Paul Graham's 2009 essay on "What start-ups are really like" and Benn Stancil's recent essay on "How a startup feels." Both explore the continuous effort and "lots of little things" required to execute on a long term vision. Ryan's perspective resonated deeply because it confirms something we probably already know - that there is so much more to be done after initial PMF. So, what comes after innovation?
