I think everyone in the security industry has already heard about #FlipperZero. It can clone cards and use other interfaces for eavesdropping on communication, etc. But how easy is it actually to copy a card? It shouldn't be that easy, even for older compromised formats like Mifare Classic or Ultralight, if the site uses an encrypted sector for access, right? Well, here's a video showing the exact opposite. Since the Crypto-1 algorithm was cracked some time ago, an attacker just needs a card and access to a reader to retrieve the keys. Flipper will do the rest and voilà—the attacker has access to your premises in a matter of minutes. Did you think your facility was safe because of encryption? You should maybe check twice. If you don't use secure formats, encryption doesn't mean anything. 🔒 What is the solution? • Ensure you have not just encrypted credentials but also up-to-date cards that can't be copied. • Even better, go mobile!
