I leveraged domain knowledge to get a 30% raise. I was a billing supervisor. I wanted to be a business analyst. So I began investing time in tech skill building And started applying. Found a perfect fit opportunity. Interviewed. Impressed. Hired. And more money. How? Skills, yes. But I also knew their department.
