Lane Workforce Partnership was honored to participate in the Legislative Tour of the HOPE Factory last Friday, hosted by Lane Education Service District. This event highlighted the incredible impact of regional Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities made possible through partnerships with workforce leaders and postsecondary institutions. The day featured inspiring moments, including meeting students who are gaining real-world skills, earning certifications, and receiving dual credits to prepare them for future success. Attendees had the chance to tour the factory floor and witness hands-on learning in action, while partners from Lane Community College, Lane Workforce Partnership, and HOPE Factory staff shared insights about the ongoing need for workforce development and investment in CTE programs. A key focus of the event was discussing how CTE funding works in Oregon and the challenges of maintaining sustainable programs. The tour wrapped up with a group discussion and Q&A, fostering collaboration and ideas to strengthen opportunities for students and employers alike.
